Come join us for great music with a Latin spin. I'll have some food and drinks, but please bring a bottle of wine, beer or whatever rings your bell. And bring $15 cash for the musicians. We'll pass around the hat when they're done playing. Looking forward to seeing you there!
What's the music?
Sensational Brazilian percussionist Alejandro Lucini joins classical guitarist John W. Warren for a special concert highlighting the music of Brazil and Latin America. They will present music by celebrated Brazilian composers Tom Jobim, Luis Bonfá, Baden Powell, and Heitor Villa-Lobos; the Paraguayan master Agustín Barrios Mangoré; the Cuban composer Leo Brouwer; and Argentine composer Eduardo Falú.
They will also perform some of Warren's original compositions as well as a few arrangements of popular songs on classical guitar. Join this dynamic duo for an evening of alluring melodies, spontaneous performance, and a lot of rhythm.
Journey to Brazil, Cuba, Venezuela, Argentina, and other Latin American countries and discover this enthralling collaboration of classical guitar music with Brazilian percussion that is simply not to be missed.
