Please join me for the third in a ongoing series of intimate classical guitar soirées at my home in the Verdugo Woodlands. For this event, I'm excited to have the highly acclaimed Cameron O'Conner join us to perform a variety of new and old works. While it might change, for now Cameron is suggesting a set of pieces by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, some of his own compositions inspired by the Pacific Northwest, plus some Barrios, Bach, Wagner, and if we're lucky a set of Japanese composers (Takemitsu and Ryuichi Sakamoto). More information on Cameron can be found at https://www.groupmuse.com/musicians/2073-cameron-o-connor.
What's the music?
J.S. Bach: Prelude from Lute suite no. 4
Takemitsu: selections from All in Twilight
Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco: Rondo, Op. 29
Ryuichi Sakamoto: Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence
Cameron O'Connor: Three Northwestern Scenes
Richard Wagner: Hymn to the Evening Star
Agustin Barrios: Two Brazilian dances
