Hi friends and neighbors! We are hosting another Groupmuse chamber music event on Sunday, December 9 starting at 5:00 PM, and we'd love for you to join us. This time, we are hosting a string quartet, plus a clarinet (the "friend") -- with musicians Eunghee Cho (who has been with us before), Geneva Lewis, Tatjana Roos, Tanner Menees, and Somin Lee. As usual, we will provide drinks and eats. Please note that parking can be a bit tight in the area -- but we are near the orange line and various bus routes. For those who haven't come to a Groupmuse before, you just need to RSVP via the website (which costs $3) and kick in $10 for the musicians after they play. We promise you'll enjoy it!
What's the music?
Mendelssohn String Quartet in F minor, Op. 80 - this tragic work was written right after the death of his sister and best friend Fanny (and two months before his own death)
Mozart Clarinet Quintet in A Major, K. 581 - arguably one of the composer's most touching chamber works
with
Somin Lee, clarinet
Geneva Lewis & Sungmi Park, violins
Tanner Menees, viola
Eunghee Cho, cello
