Welcome to a first groupmuse in Sierra Oaks! We are excited to have an accomplished and superb guitarist, Sean O'Connor, play for our concert. With a background in both rock and jazz plus a Magna Cum Laude graduate degree from the CSUS School of Music, Sean's expansive repertoire includes various genre. We are particularly interested in hearing him play the 11-String Alto Guitar, uniquely suited for performing Baroque and Renaissance lute music. And watch out, he might just add in some jazz or Jimi Hendrix notes. This unique and talented musician also is a fabulous guitar teacher. Check out his website that has some great videos:
For our upcoming concert, we will have light hors d'oeuvres. Please arrive around 7:00 pm. Music will start at 7:30 with a couple of songs by Zado Eastern European Vocal Ensemble as an intro and then Sean takes over with his magic to enliven your senses and fill your heart with wonder. My husband, Jim, and I look forward to seeing you at this wonderful evening!
