For basement Groupmuse #13, we're changing it up - the space is no stranger to violins and cellos, but this time, it's pluckier than usual. The Right Reasons, a mandolin & guitar duo (Joel Michael-Schwartz and Todd Shelar respectively) adapts myriad musical traditions from around the world into their own wholly unique musical experience, and I'm thrilled to share their music with you soon!
What's the music?
1) Recuerdos de la Alhambra-Tarrega (arr. B. Baldassari)
2) Moldavanka-Traditional Romanian
3) Valses Poeticas no. 1 and 2-Enrique Granadas
4) Untitled Reel, Swinging on the Gate (Celtic set)-Traditional Irish (arr. John Dowdall and Jan Boland)
5) Etude Melodiques no. 1-Carlo Munier (arr. Joel Michael-Schwartz)
