I'm very excited to host my second Groupmuse in my Washington Heights apartment with pianist Daniel Colalillo playing Chopin, Liszt , Rachmaninoff, Scriabin & John Adams on my 1928 Steinway grand.
Daniel has given recitals at Carnegie Hall, Bargemusic, Baruch College: Performing Arts Center, Steinway Hall, Columbia & Princeton Universities, and toured through Montreal & Toronto. He graduated with a Masters in Piano Performance at Mannes College: The New School for Music in 2014. He has been lauded by the NY Times and is known for his commanding performances & unique interpretations with a depth of musical integrity,. His debut album "Mostly Scriabin" will be available at Groupmuse. And, he lives in the neighborhood!
There will be snacks and hot or cold Apple Cider--depending upon the weather (anybody's guess these days!)--or feel free to BYOB. And don't forget to bring a donation ($10 minimum) for Daniel.
Looking forward to welcoming neighbors, friends, and Groupmusers at 7:30pm on Friday, March 23rd.
