Join an inaugural Groupmuse at my cozy Jamaica Plain home! Talented Mezzo Soprano Thea Lobo, accompanied by Eunmi Ko on my Bechstein parlor grand, will trace the path of the year through a wide range of eras and languages. I heard Thea at my first Groupmuse in JP about a month ago, and was blown away by her Schumann and Schubert lieder. She has a real gift for conveying the emotional nuances, not just in her voice but gestures and expressions, and story telling too. When she said she'd be visiting Boston at the end of October (she lives now in Florida) and asked if I'd host, I jumped at the chance. Join us--you won't be disappointed!
There's parking on the street, and its a short walk up the hill from the Green Street T Stop on the Orange Line. Its BYOB, but there will be munchies.
What's the music?
