The Cattus Quartet is one of Los Angeles' premiere string ensembles, and we're tickled to have them over to the loft for an evening of music! Dedicated animal lovers ("cattus" means "cat" in Latin), this talented group donates a portion of their proceeds to animal welfare causes, so your payment goes even further this evening.
Please bring a friendly attitude, warm spirit, and a tasty libation to share, and don't forget AT LEAST $10 to pay our talented performers for their time and art. If you've got cat ears, feel free to don them in the spirit of the evening, and look forward to a purr-fect program of inspiring music from Cattus Quartet!
What's the music?
Hear an iPod shuffle performed live! We will be playing everything from Shostakovich to Guns N' Roses:
Two Pieces for String Quartet (Dmitry Shostakovich): Elegy, Polka
String Quartet, No. 2 "Company" (Philip Glass)
Lullaby for String Quartet (George Gershwin)
Tango Chromatique (Michael McLean)
Sweet Child O' Mine (Guns N' Roses)
First Day of My Life (Bright Eyes)
In My Life (Beatles)
...and more!
