This year’s Valley of the Moon Summer Festival festival, entitled “Schumann’s World: His Music and the Music He Loved – Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and others,” focuses on the blinding mad genius of Robert Schumann and the influences that helped him ripen his sound and his vision. Most concerts are have a reception featuring a wine from Sonoma’s world-famous vineyards. It’s an hour from SF so make a day in Wine Country out of it!
The concert is happening at the Hanna Boys Center Auditorium - and it's got a beautiful patio, so bring a picnic to enjoy before the music! And after, you'll get a complimentary glass of wine from a local vineyard.
Songs and arias by Schumann and Chopin
Bach’s Chaconne for solo violin
Keyboard works by Bach, Chopin and Liszt
Featuring wines from Buena Vista Winery at the reception
Elizabeth Blumenstock, violin
Kyle Stegall, tenor
Tanya Tomkins, cello
Eric Zivian, fortepiano
