This year’s Valley of the Moon Summer Festival festival, entitled “Schumann’s World: His Music and the Music He Loved – Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and others,” focuses on the blinding mad genius of Robert Schumann and the influences that helped him ripen his sound and his vision. Most concerts are have a reception featuring a wine from Sonoma’s world-famous vineyards. It’s an hour from SF so make a day in Wine Country out of it!
The concert is happening at the Hanna Boys Center Auditorium - and it's got a beautiful patio, so bring a picnic to enjoy before the music! And after, you'll get a complimentary glass of wine from a local vineyard.
Quintet in A major for Clarinet and Strings by W.A. Mozart
Several pieces for clarinet, fortepiano and soprano by Schumann, Chopin and Niels Gade
Post-concert discussion with KDFC’s Rik Malone
Featuring Bar None's Canyon Old Vine Zin and Beltane Ranch Sauvignon Blanc at the reception
