Dear Groupmuse,
Our friends at the San Francisco Symphony have a kaleidoscopic evening of music and much more coming up this Friday and they want to share it with us at Groupmuse.
There will be prancing dancers and shimmering imagery, backdropped by music from the heavy hitters of the American avant-garde: Charles Ives and his From the Steeples and the Mountains, coupled with his beloved The Unanswered Question, George Antheil's Jazz Symphony, and Lou Harrison's Selections from Suite for Violin with American Gamelan (?!). Plus, the concert will feature the West Coast premiere of SFS conductor Michael Tilson Thomas's Four Preludes on Playthings of the Wind, with MTT acting as composer and conductor.
Lastly, this Friday night is one of the few evenings this season for which the SFS is opening their particularly awesome Encore Pop-Up Lounge for a post-concert night-cap with fellow Groupmusers and the wider cultural scene. Hand-crafted cocktails, good beer, and great vibes.
Jaw-dropping. Mind-bending. Our cup overfloweth and all that.
For the many, these tickets are $49 or more, for Groupmuse, there is a limited stack for $20 a pop. So. What are you waiting for.
Have a great Night Out!
