This is a groupmuse

A live concert in a living room, backyard, or another intimate space. They're casual and friendly, hosted by community members.

Host

My husband and I just moved out of SF to Brisbane. Although we miss SF, it's only a 10-15 min. ride away and one of the major perks now is having enough space for a piano and hosting people!!! I've played in 2 groupmuses and attended a few over the past year and absolutely loved the experience, so excited to participate for the first time on the other side. Some drinks provided, but please feel free to BYOB to make sure there is enough to go around.

Kids are welcome if they are capable of being quiet during the performance. We also have a minischnauzer (hypo-allergenic).

What's the music?

Nate Ben-Horin Piano, Voice, Composition

Poulenc - Le Courte Paille (The Short Straw) - a witty set for children, alternating sumptuous lullabies and fast funny songs.

Ives - Selections - a collection of meditations on nature, loss, and memory.

Schumann - Liederkreis, Op. 24 - the classic tour-de-force song cycle about a young man's unrequited love.
