Groupmuse Nights Out exists to bring our community outside the living room and into contact with the vanguard of classical music being written today, and there's hardly a new piece more timely and urgent than Gregg Kallor's Some Not Too Distant Tomorrow- a piano quintet based on the words, thoughts, and spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King.

And so it's with great pride that we present its world premier as a Groupmuse Nights Out on Monday, June 5th.

Gregg Kallor himself will be on the keys, joined by the prize-winning young superstars of the strings, The Attaca Quartet.

The wonderful folks at the Sheen Center have made a limited stack of tickets available to us for just $20 - and tickets come with a free drink and a post-show hang with the artists if you're keen!

So join us as we celebrate the life of perhaps the greatest-ever American of our past and the music of our future.

More info on the program here.

โ€œ[Kallor] writes music of unaffected emotional directness. Leavened with flashes of oddball humor, his works succeed in drawing in the listener - not as consumer or worshipful celebrant, but in a spirit of easygoing camaraderie.โ€
- The New York Times

โ€œWeโ€™re living in a golden age of string quartets...Itโ€™s hard to disagree when you hear the vibrant young players in New Yorkโ€™s Attacca Quartet.โ€
- NPR
