Opera is a bizarre and magnificent thing. It's arguably the largest scale mode of artistic expression known to Western Culture. And San Francisco is a great city for it.
But, given it's rather peculiar and assuming nature, some folks find it hard to approach. So when Opera Parallèle, San Fransisco's irrepressibly dynamic new opera company, gave Groupmuse an exclusive invitation to join for an open rehearsal, we jumped at the opportunity to show our community how the sausage is made.
Opera Parallèle is putting the finishing touches on their performance of Philip Glass' Les Enfants Terribles and this open rehearsal will be such a treat. Plenty of music, but also insight into how such a miraculous creation comes to be. Plus, it's BYOB and everyone who joins will get discounted tickets to the actual performance - which will be having its run from May 26th to May 28th.
This is a WAY cool opportunity and we're so grateful to Opera Parallèle for making it happen!
