Pianist Ian Scarfe brings another of his chamber music programs full of variety. Joined by cellist James Jaffe and another virtuoso colleague on the violin, the trio will be play works by Felix Mendelssohn and Astor Piazzolla, as well as delicate impressionist pieces by Maurice Ravel and Claude Debussy. We live on Bay Street, just across from Fort Mason. It's relatively easy to get here by bus, and parking is easier than in many SF neighborhoods. We'll serve wine and beer along with a few nibbles - but feel free to bring something, especially more nibbles, if you'd like. We're in the heart of the Marina, an easy walk to many restaurants in the Marina, Fisherman's Wharf, Russian Hill and Pacific Heights.
What's the music?
Ravel - Sonata for Violin and Piano
Ravel - Le Tombeau de Couperin
+++
Mendelssohn - Piano Trio in D Minor
