UC Berkeley Graduation is on for the weekend of May 13th-15th. So why not start off the celebrations with some classical music up in the Berkeley Hills. We have a partial view of the
Bay and will hopefully start as the sun is setting so we get to enjoy the music with a good sunset.
What's the music?
Anton Arensky wrote his String Quartet No. 2 in A minor in memory of Tchaikovsky, his friend and mentor. It's a heartfelt work of both sorrow and joy. Arensky's unusual choice of instruments—a quartet with 2 cellos instead of 2 violins—brings incredible depth and richness to the sound.
And if that's not exciting enough, we have an incredible Bach Cantata in E-flat arranged for the same ensemble.
