Please join us on the Sunday after Thanksgiving for a rare opportunity - to hear Wagner's miniature masterpiece "Siegfried Idyll" in the original chamber instrumentation, and in the original chamber setting! Wagner composed this music as a birthday present to his wife Cosima - the premiere was given on the stairs of their Lucerne villa, Christmas morning 1869. I love this piece in all its forms, up to the biggest concert stages, but I'm particularly excited to experience its tenderness, passion, and excitement up close.
