This is a groupmuse

A live concert in a living room, backyard, or another intimate space. They're casual and friendly, hosted by community members.

Host

Note: The "Mead-eval" theme refers to food and drink only. Showing up in a suit of armor is (awesome but) wholly unnecessary.

I met Dorian at a Groupmuse last year, and thoroughly enjoyed his playing. He's been traveling since then, but he's back in the states and ready to play once more on his authentic and beautiful baroque-period violin.

So join us for sausage and wine, cheeses with bread, some mead on the house, and of course Dorian's wonderful music.

Bringing your own drinks is also encouraged.

Porter and Davis are close. Busses are much closer. Street parking may prove difficult — if driving's your thing, contact me and I'll give you some parking tips.

What's the music?

Dorian Komanoff Bandy Baroque Violin And Viola D'amore

Vilsmayr: Suite in A major
Tartini: "Senza di te, mia cara..."
Biber: The Guardian Angel
Schmelzer: Passagalia in D major

Plus: a suite for viola d'amore -- a 12-string instrument that you're unlikely to see outside of a museum!
