The Fair Trade Trio recently returned from a Pac NW tour, and will be performing a standard classical rep as a trio, interspersed with a few mind-blowing solo pieces. (Those of you who attended Tim Digiulio's Groupmuse will remember the debut of "For One" by local Brooklyn composer, Mariel Berger.
Bring some wine and join us for a special performance by the Fair Trade Trio.
What's the music?
The Fair Trade Trio presents an evening of solos and chamber music.
The program features string trios by Franz Joseph Hadyn, Brooklyn-born Jennifer Higdon, and Jewish composer Gideon Klein, who composed his trio at a concentration camp during World War II.
Get to know members of Fair Trade more intimately through unaccompanied music by JS Bach and a totally new piece by Mariel Berger, which is a feminist counterpoint to the male-dominated classical world, and unfolds itself to depict a female orgasm.
