What's the music?
We will start with the romantic, turbulent 1st movement of the Chopin Sonata for Cello and Piano, followed by The Hungarian Rhapsody by Popper, a virtuosic showpiece.
After intermission we will continue with two more short pieces, The Swan, by Saint-Saëns and Aprés un Rêve by Faure, both romantic, beautiful pieces. We will end with the last movement of Beethoven's A Major Sonata for Cello and Piano, a sprightly, vibrant piece to end your evening with!
