This is a groupmuse

A live concert in a living room, backyard, or another intimate space. They're casual and friendly, hosted by community members.

Host

I hope to bring awareness to my latest, favorite 501c3, Nomadic Press of Oakland (http://nomadicpress.org). They are bringing some radical, wonderful, art, music, poetry, film, literature and more to the East Oakland/Fruitvale Area. And, I help with PR and fundraising from time to time.

Venue: There is seating for most, but if you have concerns please feel free to bring a folding chair of your own. There are a few steps out front (10) with a landing in between.

After the performance we will transition to a dance party, then head to the Rocky Horror Picture Show in Livermore. It's super hero night, so bring your cape AND top hat!

For more see Facebook event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/1374374129552145/

I will have some wine (donation optional) and perhaps some snacks. Feel free, but not obligated to bring something to share of your own.

Please let me know if there's anything special I should know about you, or if you have other concerns, feedback or advice. Like the title says, this will be my first time!

Tavel: There is plenty of street parking and a small backyard for bicycles. It's a short taxi ride from Fruitvale BART, where there is a taxi stand with cabs waiting most times of the day or night. You can also take the #40 bus from Downtown Oakland for $2.10 and walk up from Foothill Blvd. & Cole St. where the closest stop is.

Lastly: There will be free wifi at the event, and it would be wonderful to stream the performance. Please let me know if you can advise in that area too.

Cheers!
