Walk through a Spring garden to our art filled townhouse to hear Poulenc, Rameau, and Ravel on piano, violin, and cello! We provide wine, beer, seltzer, and cheese and crackers and feel free to bring a beverage to share. Doors open at 7:30 pm and music starts around 8.

What's the music?

Character titles in the music of French baroque icon Jean-Philippe Rameau are echoed in the work of 20th century composer Maurice Ravel. Each composer uses sound as a medium to depict colorful caricatures of mundane and fantastical subjects. The program intersperses short character pieces by Poulenc, Rameau, and Ravel, ultimately concluding with Ravel’s Piano Trio in A Minor.

Poulenc - Melancholie
Rameau - Rappel des oiseau
Ravel - Oiseau tristes
Rameau - Les tendres plaintes
Rameau - Les Cyclopes
Ravel - Une barque sur l’ocean
Ravel - Alborada del grazioso
