The pre-eminent powerhouse and NYC legend, Orchestra of Saint Lukes is offering up an amazing exclusive deal for our Groupmuse community:
A 3 concert series bundle for only $35. That's 1/3 the price; wow, what a steal! Included is a ticket to each of the following three performances at The Dimenna Center for Classical Music. So, if you're buying a ticket to this Night Out, please mark your calendars for the following three dates:
Up first, we have Spells and Revelations, on December 4th at 7pm. On the program, a variety of new and old works for voice, including "the world premiere of Matthew Aucoin’s Revelations for baritone and chamber ensemble, as well as works by Franz Schubert, Henry Purcell, Freya Waley-Cohen, and Hildegard von Bingen.
Next, on February 19th, OSL will present a program entitled *Rites and Visions** which will present two contemporary works based on ancient texts and more modern rituals, inspired by religious and musical rites across the ages.
Finally, the series closes with Thoughts and Riddles on April 30th, for which celebrated composer Augusta Read Thomas curates a program that blends her own music with that of longtime friends of the OSL and emerging composers she has mentored, in honor of Orchestra of Saint Luke's 50th anniversary.
And as if that wasn't enough of a feast (for the ears and soul), each concert will include a complimentary reception with wine and beer. We at Groupmuse always love when there's opportunities to connect with your fellow music-lovers post-concert, as is custom in the Groupmuse style!
Seating is general admission, first come first served.
Ticket buyers can pick up their tickets for this concert (and the subsequent two) at will call which opens one hour before the performances (at 6pm).
