Welcome to our second Glen Park home concert by a remarkable, personable Colombian guitarist Alejo Cordero! On this occasion Alejo is joined by his wife Julieth who will briefly demonstrate steps to traditional popular dances such as the cumbia, porro and other, while Alejo plays. Of special note is that about half of his program will consist of his own compositions, as we requested. He is an accomplished performer in the Bay Area since moving here about two years ago, and a well-known performer in Colombia. He's a graduate of a Berklee School of Music affiliated school in Bogota, and loves to educate American audiences on the specialty of traditional joropo music and his uniquely shaped guitar, the bandola. Guests this past March loved his lively performance and warm personality, and you will, too. Hope to see you soon!

Please note that we ask for all guests and musicians to have received updated Covid vaccinations and test negative as we will on the concert morning or day before, or stay home if you are feeling unwell. We take care of 95-year old parents and just don't want to expose them to danger as much as we can protect against. Thank you for understanding our commitment to their health and to yours!
