Where does this music come from?
These pieces are all staples of the classical repertoire, spanning from the actual “capital C” Classical Period (mid 1700s to mid 1800s) to the Romantic and early modern (late 1800s to early 1900s). The crux of the program lies at the deep tradition of chamber music, which was originally meant to be heard in a space just like this: a gathering of friends in a living room, house party style :)
