Hello Groupmusers,

I'm happy to welcome Matyas Novak for a concert of Czech composers!
He will have performed at The National Gallery of Art just the evening before, as he continues his tour in the DC area and the U.S.

From his Bio:

Matyáš Novák is one of the most promising pianists of his generation thanks to his extraordinary harmonic sense, wide repertoire and excellent playing technique. At the age of ten he performed with an orchestra for the first time, at the age of nineteen he made his debut at Carnegie Hall, at the age of twenty he gave a solo recital at the Prague Spring Festival. His extraordinary musical talent is evidenced not only by the number of prizes at domestic and foreign competitions, but also by the fact that at his young age he has forty concerts with an orchestra and hundreds of pieces for solo piano in his repertoire.

On the program:

J. L. Dussek: Sonata Op. 61 “Élégie harmonique”
J. Suk: Song of Love Op. 7, No. 1
L. Janáček: Sonata 1. X. 1905

Antonin Dvořák:
