Richard and I are delighted to welcome classical music lovers to our Upper West Side home for a cozy winter evening of friendship, art, wine and chamber music featuring a trio of New York’s finest musicians.
Rannveig Marta Sarc, Brian Hong, and Andrew Janss will take us on a musical journey with their favorites from Mozart, Beethoven, and more. You are invited to arrive at 7 PM. The performance will begin at 7:30.
Please save your seat for this intimate musical gathering! Tickets are $40 ($35 for Supermusers) to support the musicians. Space is limited and this event is expected to sell out.
Light refreshments will be provided.
What's the music?
Choice movement selections from:
W.A. Mozart: Divertimento in Eb Major, K. 563
(described by Albert Einstein as "one of Mozart's noblest works"!)
L.V. Beethoven: String Trio in G Major, Op. 9 No. 1
Early Beethoven at it's finest, a study of his monumental string quartets-to-come
Sergei Taneyev: String Trio in Eb Major
A student of Tchaikovsky and professor to Sergei Rachmaninoff, Taneyev is one of the "missing links" of Russian Romantic music, and deeply worthy of deep accolades in his own right!
