Where does this music come from?
This program covers the many faces of the the classical guitar, from the Renaissance to the present. With music from Europe, Brazil, and the USA (an original composition by the performer), we’ll take a tour of some of the many flavors and eras of the world’s guitar music. As an added wrinkle, every other selection takes the form of a rondo, a musical structure characterized by the alternation between a thematic refrain and episodes of contrasting material.
