Garden concert in Venice East of Lincoln. An indoor/outdoor space with lots of seating and good acoustics. Two level treehouse available for a handful of those who like to view from "the balcony" Older or well behaved young people welcome but listed as kid free. ( have had small children that parents didn't supervise and it was distracting)

Avanti String Quartet String Quartet

This program revolves around the American experience from Joplin to Bernstein. From the latter, we will play arrangements of Maria, Tonight, and Mambo. The Entertainer by Scott Joplin will be contrasted with the melancholy Ashokan Farewell by Jay Ungar. No American program would be complete without a bit from the movies: we will perform the Tango: Por Una Cabeza by Carlos Gardel featured in Scent of a Woman. If time allows, we will round out the program with a movement from Dvorak’s American Quartet.
