Where does this music come from?
We will perform pieces from the historical tradition of guitar and folkloric music from South America, including Brazilian Afro-sambas, classical guitar music from Cuba and Paraguay, a piece by Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos, and impressionistic music by Erik Satie. We'll also perform instrumental arrangements of classic tunes from the 1960s, and 70s and 80s classics by the Eagles and Roxy Music, and two original compositions inspired by the music of Latin America and Spain. We've coined the term Latin Classical Psychedelic to describe our music as it embraces these and other traditions.
