In continuing to explore the interplay among the arts, this event will add a new element. Michele Walther will present some of her original " looper" compositions for violin, with dance interpretations / inspirations by Mark Galvan, a contemporary dancer and instructor. All of which will be presented in the gallery, surrounded by the current exhibit "Four Square".
What's the music?
This performance is a presentation of music, dance, painting and poetry. Paintings of the art exhibition will become part of the performance.
Michele Walther - violin and live looping & Mark Galvan - dance will perform music by Corelli, Piazzolla, and originals, paired with expressive Japanese Butoh dance theatre.
Live looping works like a "one-woman-orchestra", with Michele playing multiple parts at the same time.
The performance will feature evocative music and dance with the theme Darkness & Light - the Cycle of Life.
