It is our pleasure to invite you to our home backyard for a Sunday afternoon concert featuring the sounds of Brazilian Bossa Nova under the redwoods.

The performance will feature the musical stylings of the Bossa e Bossa Duo, comprising Kenya Moses, an American vocalist of African and Afro-Brazilian heritage, and Italian guitarist Paride Pignotti.

Enjoy the sweet sounds of Antônio Carlos Jobim, Vinicius de Moraes, Stan Getz, and more under the swaying & dancing trees :) All we ask is that you consider a donation to the talented musicians after the show!

More info on the talented Bossa e Bossa Duo below. We hope to see you soon.

Born in Americus, Georgia, and shortly thereafter moving to Darmstadt, Germany; Kenya was exposed to a wide range of musical experiences, which have influenced her subsequent years of studying and performing. By the time she was 5 years old, she was playing the piano and singing whenever the opportunity arose. Upon moving to California at the age of 6, Kenya began singing with her grandmother in the church choir, performing ballet folklorico, traditional ballet and finding herself drawn to music in every form - picking up the clarinet, tenor saxophone and flute.

Kenya became obsessed with music - singing, playing and competing in international competitions. She later went on to study classical voice and flute at The University of California, Davis, where she also double majored in Performing Arts with a dance emphasis.

After University, Kenya began her professional vocal career in the opera world, while simultaneously studying and performing dance with companies including, Alvin Ailey in New York City, Pamela Trokanski Dance Theatre, Embodiment Project and more. Her opera credits include Berkeley Opera, West Edge Opera and Pocket Opera.

Paride Pignotti is an Italian guitarist and composer who makes up the second half of the Bossa e Bossa Duo. He is an award-winning guitarist and has collaborated with some of the most well-respected Italian musicians, such as Javier Girotto and Nicola Stilo. Paride has performed in numerous jazz festivals, including Rome jazz festival, Time in jazz, Bari in jazz, Nice Jazz Festival, Piacenza Jazz Festival, Nuoro Jazz, Fara Music Festival and many others.
