Gotham Arts in collaboration with Groupmuse is delighted to present an intimate private solo recital by Arsenii Mun, featuring works by Busoni, Haydn, Debussy, and Ravel's celebrated Gaspard de la nuit.

Born in 1999, Arsenii started learning piano at the age of 6. He studied at St. Petersburg State Conservatory with professor Alexander Sandler and later at the Juilliard School of Music in New York with professor and famous artist Sergei Babayan.

The list of major competitions in which he was prizewinner include the Horowitz Competition (Ukraine), Yamaha Music Competition (Russia), Piano e-Competition (USA), Cliburn Junior Competition (USA), Wideman Piano Competition (USA), Arthur Rubinstein Memorial Competition (Poland), and the St. Priest Competition (France).

Arsenii made his concerto debut in 2009 in the Great Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic with the State Academic Symphony Orchestra and his solo recital debut in 2012 at Mozarthaus in Vienna.

He is recipient of the Maestro Temirkanov Prize, as well as a laureate of the Rostropovich Foundation (where he was given a special Sviatoslav Richter Award), the Musical Olympus Festival, and the Mariinsky International Piano Festival. He is also a participant in the Pianissimo Piano Series.

In summer of 2016 and 2017 Arsenii took part in the Verbier Festival Academy (Switzerland) and won the special “Tabor” Prize for best pianist at the Academy.

In 2018 Arsenii received the Audience Award at the Animato Festival in Paris and played live on Radio France.

Arsenii frequently performs across Europe and the United States in cities including New York, Los Angeles, Strasbourg, Luxembourg, Brussels, Paris, and Madrid.

He has taken part in masterclasses with such world-renowned mentors as Dmitry Bashkirov, Sergei Babayan, Klaus Hellwig, Richard Goode, Andras Shiff and many others.

Since 2019 Arsenii has been a Yamaha Artist.
