What's the music?
The groupmuse format is ideal for Hindustani classical music. It has developed for centuries in small, informal, settings where musicians and audiences can gather, mingle, and reflect on the depths of musical expression together. This curated program consists of several Indian ragas performed in the classical traditions of the Maestro, Ustad Vilayat Khan. The evening will by interspersed with lecture/demonstration/conversation as well, particularly as this is a less common form of music.
