Nancy Garniez and Rachelle Garniez are mother and daughter. One is a classical pianist, in love with the piano more than ever, one is a genre-fluid singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist/performer. Although they inhabit very different worlds, they share a sense of humor and a spirit of fearless creativity. Their first appearance together was at Weill Recital Hall in 2003, since then they've performed several times over the years to the delight of audiences in NYC concert stages and abroad. Their shows are a mix of solos and duets, ranging from original material to re-interpretations of a vast variety of music. Upper West Siders since way back when, this is their first duo house concert. Expect the unexpected! Experience sonic surprise, and enjoy this extra special show as two generations join forces to inspire listeners of all ages and stripes.
