The Arts Hub in Lafayette presents the kickoff event of a new monthly series featuring a wide range of musical artists and styles from around the world!
The series debut will feature an evening of stories and songs for piano, flute, guqin and nyckelharpa with musician-composers Chris Rippey and Christos Vayenas. Presenting music drawn from Western Classical, Chinese, Armenian and Scandinavian traditions, the artists will explore a kaleidoscope of sounds through the lenses of songwriting, improvisation and storytelling.
Doors will open at 6:30pm, and the event will begin at 7pm with a brief guided meditation. Drinks and light hor d'oeuvres will be served.
What's the music?
Original works for flute, guqin & nyckelharpa composed and performed by Chris Rippey
Piano improvisations by Christos Vayenas
