Join classical guitarist, David Trevors, and embark on a musical journey through Latin America with one of the most revered dance forms, the Waltz.
This program highlights composers who adapted their indigenous South American music to the sophisticated form of the Waltz, developed by European composers such as Chopin, Strauss, and Tchaikovsky. Latin American composers often found their unique voice in the classical world by studying the masters and infusing the popular music of their region with classical techniques.
You are invited to join a San Francisco soiree and take a musical voyage through Mexico, Venezuela, Uruguay, Cuba, Brazil and beyond, as we feature the unique art form of the Latin Waltz for Classical Guitar.
We will have beautiful views from Russian Hill as we listen to David Trevors.
Hosted by Lisbeth and friends
