Groupmuse is thrilled to be teaming up yet again with the Boston Philharmonic--our first Night Out with them since Covid! And what a concert to blast off with...
This program begins with Beethoven's beautiful and subtle Apollonian Fourth Piano Concerto; one of the great tests of any pianist's musicianship. On the docket to perform this feat is internationally renowned pianist Jonathan Biss, who is especially known for his lucid and insightful performances of the Beethoven piano concertos, and who will be making his Boston Phil debut. The second half of the program will be *Rachmaninoff's Second Symphony, an equally evocative and emotional composition you will not want to miss.
Tickets to this performance are selling for $60-110 a pop, but we've got 20 exclusive tickets for our Groupmuse members for only $25 each (and $20 for Supermusers). Come early at 6:45 for a free pre-concert lecture with conductor Benjamin Zander to learn more about the program.
More about this concert can be found on the Boston Philharmonic's website.
Masks are encouraged to be worn for the duration of the concert, but are not required.
This concert is not recommended for children under the age of 5.
