Well known DC performer Gary Rowe returns. Glen Echo Heights House Concert & Potluck Dinner. SOLOX house concert: Red Lantern at Milo just off Massachusetts Av in Woodacres. Kim Siong Sim won the WIPAC International piano competition in 2012, among numerous awards.

Gary Rowe is a pianist, composer and teacher who balances years of formal education with years of practical experience in a multitude of genres. His expressive piano style is a jazz centered synthesis of a myriad of influences, from Bach to Rock. University of California Santa Barbara (BA, music composition-1976) and at San Francisco State University in the graduate program in composition; 10 years composing and producing soundtrack music for documentaries, commercials, and corporate videos, and has performed extensively in the Bay Area, throughout the West, and in his hometown of Washington, D.C (Watergate, 709, Hay-Adams, Cosmos Club). Program: an eclectic mix of classic jazz, including Monk, Ellington, and Brubeck, some classics from the great American songbook, and perhaps some classical improvisation.

Host will approve each registrant please, to coordinate VAX certification and to provide direct payment link, or pay via GroupMuse. Tickets $21.12 incl PP/GM fee, advance only, artist receives $20. All guests will be seated in Music Studio.

This is the 69th SOLOX concert at the Red Lantern at Milo, since 2010, and the 20th with GroupMuse. Guests most welcome and encouraged to bring dish/drink to share/potluck, please consider bringing wine if you use it.
