Welcome!
Have you heard of the piano's "action", but not exactly sure what that is? Have you ever had a piano tuned and the next week there are a few notes that have gone sour? In this workshop, we'll open up the piano and pull the action out; reviewing the general mechanics from pressing down the key to the hammer hitting the string. The workshop will also include a hands-on introduction to basic tuning techniques. Handouts with diagrams of piano parts will be provided, as well as suggestions for tuning hammers and beginner tuning kits.
Class sizes will be limited to 8 people to ensure that everyone gets to try tuning.
Looking forward to meeting you all!
