Rubén Parejo has been awarded in several international competitions. He is a visiting professor in numerous courses, seminars, competitions and master classes at universities and conservatories. As a solo guitarist he has performed in the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, Mexico, France, USA, Argentina, Austria, England, Brazil, Germany, Croatia, Switzerland, Israel, the Czech Republic, Thailand... his way of interpreting being praised by the press and magazines. specialized (Il Messaggero Veneto, Il Gazzetino, Levante, Las Provincias, Gendai Guitar from Japan...).
He has given concerts and master classes in different cities in Japan (Tokyo, Chiba, Azumino, Osaka, Sapporo).
He has studied the guitar with the professors José Luis González and Rosa Gil. Composers such as E. Sanz Burguete, J. Torrent, E. Morales-Caso, J. Cardoso, R. García i Soler, V. Roncero, J. Lázaro and P. Carrascosa have dedicated works to him. In 1998 he recorded the CD “Tribute to José Luis González”, in 2001 he recorded the CD “Seguidillas y Canciones”. In 2008 and 2011 he recorded CDs with Capella Saetabis (early music) and collaborated on a monographic CD of solo and chamber music by J. Báguena Soler (2008, produced by the Valencian Institute of Music). In 2009 he recorded the CD “Reflejos” for solo guitar. With Nuevo Tango Septet Zinger, led by P. Zinger (pianist for A. Piazzolla) he has recorded 2 CDs. In 2014 he presents the CD "El Cuaderno de Salvador" with recently created works. In 2018 he recorded the CD "Con tanta tenerezza" as a duo with Ausiàs Parejo. He has also recorded for the cinema, and different radio and TV channels, both with an orchestra and in different chamber ensembles.
He is a professor of guitar at the Higher Conservatory of Music of Valencia, academician of the Very Illustrious Academy of Valencian Music and artistic director of the “Luys Milan” International Guitar Festival. Rubén Parejo plays with RC Strings.
