Host
We're on a roll! For our 2nd concert of 2021, we're excited to host the Sierra Quartet in our big, beautiful backyard, complete with 7 different fruiting trees, a small deck/stage, and plenty of room for safe outdoor gatherings.
We'll hear some old works and some extremely new stuff, too! Please arrive at 2, so we can finish the show while the sun is up :)
Please bring a picnic blanket to sit on with your party, and any drinks or snacks you'd like to enjoy! If you have any accessibility needs, please leave me a note on your RSVP, and I'll be happy to accommodate with chairs, extra blankets, etc.
What's the music?
Hey everyone, can't wait to gather at Kyle's place for quartet music and a hang. Craft really shines through in this program: Byrd was a true harmonic innovator, Jamaican-born Eleanor Alberga elevates dance and sound textures in a way I've never heard, and Mozart must have gone to some weird, wonderful places to come out with a quartet like this one.
Byrd | Ave Verum Corpus
Eleanor Alberga | String Quartet No. 2
W.A. Mozart | String Quartet in B-Flat Major, K. 589
