The Schumann Piano Quartet Op. 47 in E-flat Major is indeed one of the most beloved and often heard works of its kind. Yet, in these turbulent times, the music brings out unheard shades of fragile nostalgia and noble redemption.
The pre-recorded performance of the Piano Quartet was made in Salzburg, Austria by the TV channel FS1 and features an all-star cast, led by non-other than Pavel Gililov, one of the most appreciated pianists and pedagogues of our times, performing together with outstanding young musicians Lea Hausmann (Violin), Yue Yu (Viola) and Samuel Shepherd (Cello). Not only will we enjoy a unique performance, but we will also hear Pavel Gililov speak about Schumann and give advice to the new generation of pianists.
So join us!
