Welcome to our third Groupmuse!
This time around we will present two extraordinary sonatas for Viola and Piano performed by violist Karolina Errera and pianist Yannick Rafalimanana. Both Paul Hindemith and Mieczysław Weinberg composed their sonatas for Viola and Piano in the years succeeding the two world wars. Suffering, frustration and despair are only a few characteristics that underline the qualities of these two marvellous works. However, light can be found in even the darkest of times!
This Groupmuse is dedicated to the sufferings caused by the ongoing pandemic.
