The Ladies' Quintessential Quintet is thrilled to present the premiere of Chamber Music Large and Small, featuring chamber music in configurations from solo instrument to double quintet. The evening will feature an engaging program of beautifully crafted video performances, recorded and filmed remotely by each performer in their homes in 4 different states, and elegantly brought together in an artful display of resilience and ingenuity in the time of social distancing. The performance will also feature special appearances by musical guests Allison Vest (piano), Haley Houk (bassoon), Kathryn Cederborg (clarinet), and the Aspen Winds. Selections for the evening will include:
- Tiki, from Two Cats by Daniel Dorff
- 2 BIt Contraptions by Dr. Jan Bach
- Cello Suite no. 1 in G by Bach, arranged for 3 English horns, bassoon, bass flute, clarinet in A, French horn quartet, and harpsichord
- Duet for Bassoon and Clarinet No.3 by Beethoven
- Melting Pot by Alyssa Morris
- Whethoryon for Double Wind Quintet by Judith Bailey
The program also features a live chat with all of the performers from LQQ and Aspen Winds, as well as a taped interview from Judith Bailey. Please join us for this event!
