ASMI faculty guitarist, Piero Bonaguri, former pupil of Andrés Segovia, Oscar Ghiglia, Enrico Tagliavini, and Alirio Diaz will perform a rich and versatile program including music by Bach, Haendel, Sor, Spazzolli, Villa-Lobos, Tàrrega, Granados, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, and Albeniz. Piero is a professor at the Bologna Conservatory and ardent champion of contemporary music.
In 2019, for ASMI's inaugural summer in Rimini, Italy, Piero performed solo works with orchestra by Joseph Haydn, Claudio Montero, and Paolo Bonaguri. It was a pleasure to perform with him at Sala Ressi (Teatro Galli) and we are happy to host him for his Groupmuse debut. Don't miss this rare and special event.
Piero will be performing for us live in Rimini, Italy, so take in the Italian spirit and air (wishing we could be there) and enjoy this musician's rich musical heritage and mastery of the guitar, in both classical and contemporary genres.
