Time, Hope & Rebirth –
Where we are with what we know, to the unknown of where we are going. In this moment music conjures memory and emotions, quieting the mind for a dance or a hope, and maybe, when we are lucky, it softens the world around us. Transformations in music are a constant. From the instrumentation and genre to the effects on the composer, performer(s) and listeners.
From Barrios' last work inspired by a passing beggar, a 21st century lullaby, a Spanish dance, a place where our minds quiet, to a 13th century legend and much in between.
It will be an exciting concert. Thank you for partaking in the new adventure. Come with questions. I may not have answers beyond the music.

ABOUT:
“Aaron Larget-Caplan is a riveting artist”, writes the Washington Post, and the Boston Musical Intelligencer says he has “astounding technical proficiency and artistic delicacy”. Aaron Larget-Caplan is an international recording and touring guitarist, who connects with audiences with Bernstein-esque ease. Aaron has premiered over 80 compositions, many written for him, and Edition Peters and Stone Records publish his groundbreaking arrangements and recording of the music of John Cage. He has four critically acclaimed solo discs, and he is on faculty at University of Massachusetts Boston and formerly Boston Conservatory. In 2019 Aaron received the Médaille D’Etain from the Société Académique Arts-Sciences-Lettres of Paris, France for his trailblazing work in music.
