COME HEAR LISA SPECTOR PERFORM
PIANO MUSIC FOR ONE AND TWO HANDS
Juilliard and USC graduate, Lisa Spector, broke her right hand in 7 places and has had 3 surgeries.
While recovering, she has learned several pieces for the left hand only! As she gains dexterity and strength in her right hand, she is now playing some 2 hand pieces once again. She has learned about resilience and that she doesn't play with her hands as much as she does with her heart.
What's the music?
Bach Sicilienne arranged for left hand by Paul Wittgenstein
Beethoven Sonata Op. 14 No. 2 G Major
Allegro
Schubert Impromptu Op. 90 No. 2 E flat Major
Chopin 3 Etudes:
Op. 25 No. 1 “Aeolian Harp” arranged by Godowsky for left hand
Op. 25 No. 2 F minor
Op. 10 No. 12 “Revolutionary”
Intermission
Scriabin Nocturne for left hand
Nocturne for 8-fingers by Zach Gulaboff Davis
(written for Lisa Spector)
Gershwin-Wild Virtuoso Etudes:
The Man I Love for left hand
Embraceable You
