Here in the 21st century, lines are blurring, binaries are breaking, and genres are bending. The New York Philharmonic is here for it. And they want us to join for our first ever Night Out with the New York Phil!
Check this out:
Renée Fleming, the grandest diva in all of opera stands before the New York Philharmonic - undoubtedly one of the world's greatest and most legendary ensembles - to deliver songs by the Icelandic visionary singer-songwriter Björk.
Then the band finishes the night with Anton Bruckner’s most beloved work - his 4th Symphony, a cathedral of Romantic sound and devotion.
What can be said about this gathering of forces other than you have to be there!
Tickets typically cost $70, but we’ve got an exclusive discount for $25! But these will fly so fast your head will spin so move!
Have a great Night Out!
What's the music?
Ellen Reid | When the World as You’ve Known It Doesn’t Exist (World Premiere–New York Philharmonic Commission)
Anders Hillborg | Dark Harbor XXXV and Dark Harbor XI, from The Strand Settings
Björk / Orch. H. Ek | Virus and All Is Full of Love
Bruckner | Symphony No. 4
