My apartment is near the Q train at Parkside and a little further from the 2/5 train at Winthrop St. HOWEVER - this weekend the Q train is not running between Atlantic Ave. and Barclay's Center and Kings Hwy.
There are multiple other transit options to replace the Q:
1 - take the MTA Q train shuttle.
2 - take the B41 bus from Atlantic Ave. This picks up on the island between Flatbush Ave and Atlantic Ave (between Atlantic Center mall and Barclay's Center). The B41 stops right in front of the Duane Reade on Flatbush Ave. and Parkside. Cross Flatbush and turn left down Clarkson Ave.
3 - From the same place that the B41 bus picks up, you can jump in a dollar van ($2 cost). Cheaper, faster and better music than the MTA. The dollar van will cruise down Flatbush. Tell the driver you want to get off at Clarkson.
After entering the building, the elevator is to the left in the main lobby. Come to the 5th floor and turn right out of the elevator - and go to the end of the hall.
Please bring some drinks or snacks to share! I will provide a small selection.
